I was having this great Netflix affair with the short lived Roswell television series about teen alien drama and and I just fell in love with Majandra Delfino, who played Maria on the show. She really grabbed my attention late in the series when in one episode she sang a beautifully delivered, soulful love song. I was so inspired by the beauty of it – I had to know more about her.

Majandra Delfino

• Born February 20, 1981 in Caracas, Venezuela
• Is married to actor Devon Gummersall (think My So Called Life, Jordan Catalano: “Are you Brain?”)
• Has her own indie label and has released her second album “Tarte.” After hearing a sample from the record on her MySpace page (The Places You’ll Go) I couldn’t download it fast enough from iTunes.
• All her songs are performed by her (Piano, Guitar, Cello, Bass)
• Has the cutest website with the cutest little story about her life. I just love her writing.

Wow, who would have thought that anyone would pass on photos of Marilyn Monroe? LIFE magazine did in 1950 and the photo shoot has surfaced. Just look at those lips! Her eyebrows are nice too, not over-tweezed like we see a lot of today.
