Changing the world one eyebrow at a time…Eyebrow Design, Theory & Tweezing tutorial. Don’t mess up your eyebrows! Watch this video and learn where to tweeze and where not to tweeze.

Eyebrows are the frame of your face, they create your look and finish it off simultaneously. Don’t overlook this important area, whether you are over-tweezers, or someone who doesn’t do anything to your eyebrows, this video can help you.

Tools
Good Pair of Tweezers (sharp)
Toner & Cotton Round

Design & Theory
Don’t over-tweeze in-between your eyes, which will create brows that are too far apart and make you look surprised.
There are two parallel lines that run up from the beginning of the brow (from inside of the eye) to the arch, then taper off towards the outside of the eye. At the outer edge of the eyebrow you want length to have length, so don’t over-tweeze here.

Tweezing
You want a really good pair of tweezers. Clean your eyebrow area with the toner and cotton round. Pull one hair at a time from the base of the hair. Pull slowly and in the direction of the hair so that the hair does not break off.

Free Video Makeup Tutorial :: Vanity Alley Eye Makeup Application

Why use eyeshadow base?
Eyeshadow base is the must have absolute basic necessity of eye makeup. If you are not wearing eyeshadow base then there’s no point in even wearing eyeshadow! If you want your eye makeup to stand out, show up and last all day, then use eyeshadow base to give it that staying power. This video shows you the tools and techniques of eyeshadow base application.

Tools
Chisel angle brow brush or a small camouflage brush
Eyeshadow base

Tips
If you have too much eyeshadow base, it will crease.
If you don’t apply enough eyeshadow base, the eye shadow will not adhere.

You can apply eyeshadow base with a brush or your finder. If you are a makeup artist it is best to apply with a brush. When applying the eyeshadow base on yourself you can use your finger.

Application

Use a spatula or small wooden stick to scoop a very small amount of eyeshadow base out of the container, onto the back of your hand, this keeps it sanitary.

Then take your makeup brush and apply a line from the inside corner of the eye, up to the beginning of the eyebrow. Then apply a line of base from the outside of the lower lash line up to the outer corner of the eyebrow.

Apply a small amount of eyeshadow base on the eyelid. Use your brush to blend the base from the lash line up to the eyebrow covering the entire eye area.

You can use your finger to tap it out and smooth the eyeshadow base so that you have a thin, even layer.
